Be careful, this pole only comes with one groomet or "clip". There is no other clip to attach the lower portion of the flag. I had to use fish string to do so.

This is a nice wood pole, with no clear way to actually attach a flag. Flawed design, unless the company includes some sort of instructions, which it did not. Had to rig it with twine. So suboptimal.

Flying four flags from these poles. Work great. Best suited for 2' X 3' or smaller flags. No wall mount, so need to purchase separately if needed.

The reason this flag pole does not have a grommet at the bottom is because it's for the type of flag that has a sleave sewn into the flag, and the flag slides over the plastic sleave and the it has a white tag inside the sleave that attaches to the grommet on the top of the pole. It's not for the type of flag that has the brass ring punch at the top and the bottom of the flag, however, it could be rigged to use that way. Hope this helps.

I just got a new deck and needed a new flag pole to match...I received this quickly, I love the non tangle plastic shield and the hook at the end to help old the flag to the end of pole...or a windsock. It is perfect.
