This is a VERY Heavy Duty Bracket. It weighs a ton and should support any residential or average size commercial flag. It reminds me of a bracket you might see on a buisness (Bank, Post office, ETC)... I think we will be very happy with this product..

Cast iron, these mounts won't break under the pressure of your flag & poles' weight. Just use adequate screws and it will be there.

Bracket that should have come with my flagJan 12, 2012

I bought a Valley Forge flag kit for my house. The cheesy plastic bracket that came with it lasted until our first 20+ mph windy day (not much of a breeze for the midwest). I have been using the old bracket from my prior flag kit but it was getting old and was plastic as well. This bracket is everything a house-mount flag bracket should be; I couldn't believe how heavy the package was! 4 stars just because the screws that came with it were small, slotted ones. I used square drive deck screws to mount it. We had 40+ gusts last night and my flag is still there!

The screws that came with this item rusted over in one day. Somewhat disheartening considering the flag holder looks fine...for now, at least.

Great flag bracket. Solid. Excellent quality for the money. Been holding up two flags and poles in strong wind on many a days. Like a rock!
